Monster

Monster wears a mask… a reflection of what is hidden, distorted, feared, or intentionally concealed. This piece speaks not only to the monsters within, but also to the painful realization that sometimes the people closest to us can cause the deepest harm. Not every monster looks frightening at first glance. Some wear familiar faces.

There is tension within this piece between vulnerability and danger, innocence and protection, truth and disguise. It holds the reality of surviving what was unseen, denied, minimized, or hidden behind masks.

It can offer a way to explore difficult experiences, shadow aspects of self, trust, identity, resilience, and the process of recognizing, naming, and reclaiming power from what once felt overwhelming or terrifying.
