Bird's Nest
A nest can hold many stories. It can be a place of belonging and protection, a place where something new is beginning, or a place that once held something precious.
Bird's Nest is available with a removable cluster of three eggs or empty, allowing the same piece to represent very different experiences. With the eggs, the nest may symbolize family, pregnancy, anticipation, nurturing, fertility, new beginnings, or something being protected and cared for. Empty, the nest may carry themes of separation, transition, children leaving home, infertility, pregnancy loss, grief, absence, loneliness, or something that is missing.
In sandtray work, Bird's Nest can invite exploration of family relationships, attachment, caregiving, belonging, safety, beginnings and endings, loss, change, and the experience of holding on or letting go.
