Sometimes the walls around our hearts are built one brick at a time.

Guarded symbolizes the ways we learn to protect ourselves after experiencing hurt, betrayal, disappointment, or loss. Hidden safely behind walls, the small figure reminds us that what appears distant or unreachable is often simply trying to survive. While those walls may have once provided safety, they can also make it difficult to experience trust, vulnerability, and connection.
